First-time residence consumers and native communities will profit from a single environmental company that may increase new homes and capability within the planning system.
Labour says that having a single environmental regulator overseeing projects “will finish the merry-go-round of builders coping with a number of, overlapping authorities”.
The first scheme to profit from this method is the Lower Thames Crossing, a 14.5-mile new street connecting Kent, Thurrock and Essex.
The authorities’s nature adviser, Natural England, will tackle this position for the Lower Thames Crossing, working with the Environment Agency and Marine Management Organisation to present joined-up recommendation on the street mission.
It provides that these environmental planning reforms will be backed by £500m, which incorporates funding for the federal government’s flagship Nature Restoration and Marine Recovery Fund schemes.
